Save your edited font file with a different name (add something to it so as to not overwrite your current font file in this folder) to Hard Drive - Library - Fonts. Reboot your Mac. Your font should load and be visible now in your Mac system menus and areas. Select your Font and Font Size from the lists. (For example, set Font Size to 10 and select the Garamond font.) Click the Format list and select Paragraph. This opens a dialog box. In the dialog box: Under General, set the Alignment to Justified. Under Special, set First line indent to 0.2' (5 mm). Click Text Size and select your desired default font size. Firefox 8 - Mac. In Firefox, click on the Firefox tab in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Select Preferences. In the Content tab under Fonts and Colors, select your desired default font & size from the drop-down menus.
When it comes to the internet, just because you’re able to download something does NOT mean you’re allowed to use it. This goes for photos, templates, and—of course—fonts. There are three main types of font licenses, each with different restrictions.
Free for personal use
Typefaces labeled “free for personal use” can only be used on non-commercial projects, meaning there’s no personal gain from the use of the font and no promotional intention.

Licensed fonts are intended for commercial use but still have limits. Licenses aren’t transferrable. If a graphic designer holds the license, he or she can use the fonts in items created for a client but can’t share the font file (.ttf or .otf) with the client directly. Adobe Typekit fonts are licensed with a subscription to Adobe software and only work within that software. In all cases, read the license agreement to be sure it covers your intended use.
